Experienced Leadership & Public Service
Rex Lindberg is a lifelong Pasadena, Texas resident with a passion for public service. As the Community Relations Director for the City of Pasadena, he plays a key role in managing city operations. Rex has also been a leader in Pasadena’s disaster response and recovery efforts. From Hurricanes Harvey and Beryl to the 2021 winter freeze and 2023 tornadoes, he worked alongside Mayor Jeff Wagner to ensure residents received the help they needed. His dedication to public safety and emergency preparedness keeps Pasadena strong in times of crisis.
A Vision for Pasadena’s Future
Born and raised in Pasadena, Rex has deep roots in the community. He and his wife, Pam, have been married for nearly 42 years. Together, they share a daughter, Lorrie, and their beloved cat, Spencer. As active members of First Baptist Church – Pasadena, their faith guides their commitment to service. Now, Rex is ready to step up as Pasadena’s next mayor.
With his experience, leadership, and vision, Rex is committed to making Pasadena an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Healthcare Advocate & Community Champion
As a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, Rex brings valuable healthcare knowledge to city leadership. Before working for Pasadena, he had a successful career in home healthcare
His firsthand experience in public health makes him a strong advocate for better healthcare services in Pasadena. Outside of work, Rex is a passionate endurance athlete. He has completed 43 marathons and ultra-distance races, including a 100-mile race in Huntsville, TX. His perseverance in sports reflects his dedication to tackling challenges head-on.
His commitment to helping others goes beyond public service. During the 1996 Houston Marathon, Rex saved the life of a fellow runner who suffered a heart attack. His heroic actions earned him two commendations from the City of Houston—further proving his dedication to others.
